Small Charity of the Year and Volunteer of the Year Awards

The Snowdome Foundation and passionate volunteer, Geoff Nyssen were honoured at the 2022 Third Sector Awards, a national award celebrating and recognising the best not-for-profit practices around Australia.

Winning the Small Charity of the Year and Volunteer of the Year Awards is a significant recognition of the passion and commitment of all within Snowdome and Geoff to accelerate next-generation treatments for those diagnosed with blood cancer. It was serendipitous that the awards were granted on the first day of Blood Cancer Awareness Month.

We feel a deep sense of gratitude to all who made this possible – our founders, past and current board and executive members, researchers and their teams, donors and fundraisers, volunteers, partner organisations and patients who have participated in clinical trials. We are proud to work alongside our partner organisations, as we all strive to improve outcomes for those affected by blood cancer.

We congratulate the other finalists and winners and celebrate the work they do within their communities. What we all do, we do with passion.

We thank Third Sector for this much appreciated recognition.
