The Positive Journey Film

We are delighted to share this stunning film of The Positive Journey, a son’s tribute to a mother lost to blood cancer.

In June 2022, Alastair Evans ran from Melbourne to Echuca over four days – a 270km journey and the equivalent of six and a half marathons, to raise money for vital blood cancer research.

Alastair’s mother, Sally, was diagnosed with myeloma at age 31, as a young mother of three children aged 6, 4 and 2. She lived with myeloma for 19 years, participating in multiple clinical trials, prolonging her life and allowing her to see her children grow to adults.

The Positive Journey raised over $150,000, doubling Alastair’s goal; this is a truly extraordinary achievement. The money raised will be directed into a pioneering immunotherapy trial for those diagnosed with myeloma, called CAR T-Cell therapy.

We are delighted to share this stunning short film of his journey, filmed by Grassland Films. May we suggest you have tissues handy.
